Phan Thiet City's Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival 2024 will take place at 6:00 p.m. on September 16 (August 14 of the lunar calendar) with the participation of 21 units in the city, including 18 wards, communes, and 3 cities. The schools are Le Loi Secondary - Secondary School, Le Quy Don Secondary - Secondary - High School and Tinh Thuong School with nearly 2,500 students in the Primary and Secondary grades.

According to the Plan of Phan Thiet city, the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival has the theme: "Phan Thiet Children - Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival - Have fun, be creative - Follow Uncle Ho's words". Organizing units design lanterns suitable to the theme, meaningful to praise the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, and typical images of Phan Thiet's homeland, combined with promoting city tourism, enhancing and developing Developing Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan's strengths in the fields of seafood, dragon fruit, environmental protection... to friends and domestic and foreign tourists.

Regarding the size and number of participating lanterns, each ward and commune will have 1-2 large lanterns with the unit's nameplate attached, appropriate to the theme. Following each large lantern of the units are small hand-held lanterns held by students. Wards and communes take the lead in organizing and guiding schools in the area to let students make their own lanterns according to the model and compete at the ward and commune level. Then, choose a small lantern model registered with the city-level Organizing Committee. Wards and communes coordinate with schools to select students to participate in the lantern procession in each unit. For every 1 large lantern, there are 80 small lanterns for 80 students (a total of 29 large lanterns and 2,320 small lanterns). .

Regarding the lantern procession route, the route will be as follows: Start from Nguyen Tat Thanh street - turn left on Ton Duc Thang - Thu Khoa Huan - turn left on Tran Hung Dao street - Le Duan roundabout - end. Phan Thiet Mid-Autumn Festival takes place every year to celebrate major holidays, and is both an attractive playground for children during the Mid-Autumn Festival and a festival honoring the traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnam. coastal city. It is known that Phan Thiet Mid-Autumn Festival has set a record for "The largest Mid-Autumn Festival lantern parade in Vietnam" and is recognized by Binh Thuan province as one of 5 traditional festivals serving tourism development.
