Although it does not possess luxurious beauty like other tourist destinations, Van Thach Long (Nam Hai) has ancient and spiritual beauty; is a place associated with the development history of Mui Ne coastal area. In 2008, Van Thach Long was recognized by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic. The project was restored with lottery funding.

After more than 200 years of existence and over time, some construction items have degraded. On June 7, 2023, the Department of Planning and Investment approved the project according to the Provincial People's Committee's policy of investing in repairing and embellishing Van Thach Long relic (in Decision No. 1259/QD-UBND). The project has a total investment of 2,493 million VND from lottery capital for public investment in the period 2021 - 2025. Investment scale includes: Repairing and restoring the main hall of worshiping gods, worshiping the past, worshiping the year. Ngu Hanh temple, Tieu Dien Dai Si altar, smoke house, guest house and related auxiliary items, fire prevention and termite prevention throughout the entire project. In addition, local fishermen contributed funds to build the Three Gate Gate with a total capital of about 120 million VND. Currently, the Van Thach Long restoration project has been completed.

The Thach Long relic was established quite early in the Mui Ne area (Phan Thiet City), associated with the process of immigration, takeover and construction of coastal fishing villages in the extreme South Central region. This place preserves unique cultural values ​​about fishing; A place to learn more about history and beliefs and has great significance for Mui Ne fishermen. This place also stores Hoanh Phi paintings engraved in Chinese characters, tablets, parallel sentences, orations about folk beliefs of coastal residents and other artifacts related to marine occupations with cultural value. very big. Inside the main hall of the Van Thach Long relic, there are tablets worshiping the Nam Hai god and figures related to the marine industry and play an important role in the spiritual and religious life of the people of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet in particular. in general.

The investment in the above project items aims to renovate the Van Thach Long historical and cultural relic; contribute to preserving the national cultural identity of coastal residents; Meet the religious needs of fishermen and serve tourists when they come to visit and learn about local customs and traditions. It can be said that Van Nam Hai Thach Long is a precious historical and cultural relic and is the honor and pride of the people of Mui Ne.
