On the evening of April 19th , , Phan Thiet city, the ranking final round of the 2rd  TV singing Contest - Sea Star in Binh Thuan Province was held at the stage of Nguyen Tat Thanh square

 - On the evening of April 19th , , Phan Thiet city, the ranking final round of the 2rd  TV singing Contest - Sea Star in Binh Thuan Province was held at the stage of Nguyen Tat Thanh square. Attending the ceremony, there were Head of Propaganda and training commission –Mr. Ho Trung Phuoc, Head of the Provincial Party  - Mr.Hoang Dinh Nghia, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoa, Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – Mr. Ngo Minh Chinh. In addition, there were also a lot of audiences and visitors coming to watch and cheer for the contestants.

The competition was organized by Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station.  After more than 2 months of competition, the judges have selected 9 best contestants (2 women) from Phan Thiet, Ham Thuan Nam, Tuy Phong and Khanh Hoa provinces to compete in the final round. According to the rule, each contestant will present two songs which they have chosen for themselves in three styles popular music ((Classical chamber music, folk music and light music).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – Mr. Ngo Minh Chinh affirmed: "the TV Singing Contest - Sea star attracts public concern, it is not only a cultural event to  commemorate the 44th anniversary of the National Liberation Day but also a place to find out the talented persons for provincial music”. According to the rules of the contest, the judges are 5 members, Musician Tran Long An, People's Artist Thanh Hoa, Musican Ta Minh Tam, singer Vo Ha Tram and People's Artist Minh Man- Director of the Blue Sea Theater. They will give points according to a 10-point scale to select the best candidates to award prizes including 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes.

Right after the opening ceremony, Phu Sanh Thinh (Phan Thiet), Pham Quoc Khanh (Phan Thiet) and Nguyen Quoc Thai (Khanh Hoa) contestants in turn presented their songs in the cheers of audience. With a strong voice, mastering vocal techniques and good looking appearance, contestant Nguyen Thanh Duy (Ham Thuan Nam) with 2 songs called “ Không Thể và có thể or  impossible and possible”(Composer:  Pho Duc Phuong) and “  Ôi quê tôi or My hometown (Composer:  Le Minh Son) has excellently received an average score of 9.52 from the judges to win the championship of the contest - Sea Star in 2019; Le Quoc Phu (Phan Thiet) won the second prize; 2 third prizes went to Phu Sanh Thinh and Nguyen Quoc Thai (Khanh Hoa).

The board of organization still awarded 5 consolation prizes for the rest contestants in the ranking final round. In addition, there were 4 extra prizes: The contestant who sing the best song about Binh Thuan belonged to Le Quoc Phu with the song “Về Phú Quý or Come to Phu Quy”; Pham Quoc Khanh was the best contestant to sing songs about the sea. Contestants who sing the best revolutionary traditional songs belonged to Phu Sanh Thinh; Candidate who was voted by the audience via mobile phone belonged to Nguyen Huynh Lien (Tuy Phong).
