Description

Hung Vuong Temple is located at 02 Quang Trung Street, Giang Hai 3 Quarter, Phan Ri Cua Town, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province.

Hung Vuong Temple was built in 1859 to worship Tutelary God Bon Canh and his predecessors and descendants who publicly reclaimed land, gathered people and built Cam Hai communal house on the ancient land of Phan Ri Cua. From 1945 - 1954, to avoid enemy occupation and turning the village communal house into a post, local people used the communal house as a place to worship Buddha and the operating base of the Phan Ri Cua Buddhist Association. By 1958, local people added Hung kings to worship at the communal house. In 1964, after Hai Hoi Pagoda was completely built, the Phan Ri Cua Buddhist Association transferred all functions and beliefs of worshiping Buddha to the pagoda and relics, leaving only the main function of worshiping the National Patriarch Hung Vuong. From then on, the name Hung Vuong Temple was born, becoming the official name of the monument and exists to this day.

The festival takes place every year at the relic on the 10th day of the third lunar month, attracting a large number of people to participate with the spirit and respectful attitude of remembering their roots, which is an extremely important spiritual cultural support. importance of many generations of people here. The festival itself reflects the beauty of folk cultural activities of the people of Phan Ri Cua in particular and the people of Tuy Phong in general, demonstrating the good humanistic values of Vietnamese people, which is a way of treating people. The behavior of future generations always remembers and acknowledges the merits of the Hung Kings who built the country as well as the previous generations who worked hard to clear land and create villages for the people to live in. The next generation of descendants will inherit a prosperous and happy life.
