Banh Chung Festival to celebrate Xuan Giap Thin at The Cliff Resort & Residences

Joining visitors to welcome the traditional Giap Thin 2024 Tet, The Cliff Resort & Residences (Phu Hai, Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan) will organize the 11th Banh Chung Festival 2024 on the morning of February 3 (starting at 8:00 a.m.). ) for tourists staying and relaxing at the resort in particular and Phan Thiet city in general.

In the warm atmosphere of the days leading up to Giap Thin Tet, participating in the Banh Chung Festival, Vietnamese and international tourists will have the opportunity to wear traditional costumes of some Vietnamese ethnic groups to compete in… Wrapping banh chung, listening to the story of the legend of banh chung in Vietnamese Tet culture as well as hearing introductions to ingredients and instructions on how to make banh chung.

From ingredients such as sticky rice, green beans, pork, dong leaves, rice noodles and cake molds prepared by the resort, participants will be guided through each step from placing the leaves into the mold, then in turn adding the sticky rice. , green beans, pork... until tied with string. When participants finish making it themselves, they will tie their name tag to the banh chung and send it to the Organizing Committee. The cooked banh chung are given to the "contestants" to enjoy the Tet cakes they made.

In addition to bringing the fun atmosphere of the banh chung making contest, at the 2024 Banh Chung Festival, The Cliff Resort & Residences also introduces many traditional Vietnamese Tet culture and cuisine. These are stalls writing calligraphy, making tortoise shells, and making puzzles with coconut leaves; or introduce fragrant teas such as chrysanthemum ginseng tea, red artichoke tea; rustic coastal dishes such as banh cuon, coconut jam, fried tet cakes with pickles, herring spring rolls, stewed bamboo shoots with meat rolled with rice paper...
