Binh Thuan cultural centre has just issued the plan to organize the " 3rd Bolero singing contest" in 2020. The festival is for Vietnamese citizens from the age of 16 to 45 year olds.

The purpose of this singing contest is to promote the mass singing movement and creating a useful playground for the public to express their feelings and passion for Bolero music. The Bolero singing contest in 2020 is organized according to 4 rounds: preliminary selection, elimination, face-to- face elimination and final round. The context of the songs performed is praising the homeland, Vietnamese people and the true love; the contestants who take part the preliminary round (from November 12nd to November 15th, 2019) will sing a self-selected song. If meeting the requirements, they will be selected to get to the elimination round. According to the rule, the contestants participated in the preliminary round of 2018 and 2019 will not join this round.
Taking part in the elimination (from December 3rd  to 8th,2019), the contestants will continue to sing the self-selected songs from the preliminary round. Contestants who get a high score from the jury will enter into the face-to-face competition (expected to select 40 contestants, from January 1st to January 2nd, 2020). At the face-to-face competition, two contestants will perform a song together. The organizers will select the 12 best contestants to compete in the final round (at 7: 30 on January 28th , 2020). Participating in the final round, the contestants will sing 2 songs, 1 self-selected song and 1 song selected by the jury.
