On the evening of August 27, in Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan), the Vietnam Culture and Art Exhibition Center (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the event. The exhibition "Vietnamese sea and island cultural heritage" is an activity within the framework of National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green convergence" with the participation of provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Kien Giang, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau. This is also a cultural event to introduce and honor the unique cultural and tourism values ​​of the sea and islands to the people, domestic tourists and international friends.

The exhibition with the theme "Vietnamese island and marine cultural heritage" introduces relics, ancient maps, Han Nom documents about the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, and the islands of the Nguyen Dynasty with content about sovereignty. With more than 250 photos of artistic value divided into 4 main contents: Documents and artifacts about Vietnam's sea and island culture in history; Building and protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands; Exhibition of art photos of Vietnam's seas and islands; Vietnamese youth with the sea and island homeland. Thereby, highlighting vivid and colorful images, viewers will feel and understand more deeply about the beauty and values ​​of Vietnam's marine and island cultural heritage accumulated over thousands of years, associated with the history of the Vietnamese nation, with the aspiration for peace and building a powerful country.

The collection of fishing gears of marine residents, the documents and artifacts collected from the sea are like a miniature picture showing the beauty of spiritual life, the desire to conquer the sea to enrich the countryside. The exhibition space promotes the cultural potential of sea and island tourism of 22 provinces and cities across the country, introducing the unique features of culture, tourism, festivals, scenic spots, products from the sea, traditional handicraft products typical of each locality will create the richness and diversity of Vietnam's marine and island cultural heritage. Within the framework of the exhibition, there are also traditional folk art programs introducing various types of intangible cultural heritage, street art performances to help residents and visitors better understand the beauty of each region. , the region of the Fatherland.
